looking for Pinnola family

Rafael, My name is Tanya Dessereau (adopted name), and I believe that I am the first child that Alice Pinnola had in 1968. The correct spelling of last name is Pennola, (I have a copy of my birthcertificate). Back in 1984 or 1985, I was 16, and I visited Alice and I believe your father in the Bronx. (lived on Garden Street) I only met Alice that one time. She had four or five young sons, (all bi-racial). She had just given birth to a boy and named him Julius, (she said she was a Shakespeare) fan. We did spend some time together that day; I left and promised to get in touch with her. A few months later, I tried to call and went to visit her, but she had disappeared. I believe after Alice gave birth to me, she also had another son and named him Edmund or Edwin, and he too ended up in foster-care. I believe we are brother and sister with different fathers. My name is charlene I am a friend of rafaels, I have been helping him search for his family for years! Im so glad to recieve your responce. He will be thrilled! I was a foster parent myself whom has custody of alot children. I have know rafael since he was 10 years old. after 5 years of searching I recieved a responce from one of his brothers Julius. then his brother mark wrote! they even gave a phone number. i took a risk and called his adopted mother first said it was fine for rafael to talk with his brothers, then she immediatley called me back and said no. after that there has been no more internet contact. i dont know what happened I do know julius is under 18 but mark was 19 and she said she didnt want him to talk with him either??? so I stopped trying. i did find out there is alot of brothers and sisters. Now I believe there are two more brother is OHIO. this came from julus and mark. is alice still alive? someone told rafael she passed away in florida. please write back. charlene

Hello Charlene, I am sorry to hear that Rafael is unable to continue his search for his biological siblings. How old is he? I know the boys were all so very young when I went to visit Alice (all under the age of 5). As I understand it, Alice did die several years ago - around 1996 or so. I was really sad, that I didn't have the opportunity to see her again. If you want further details, I think it best if you contact me one-to-one via email. Is there anyway that can be done through this system without actually posting it for all to see. I am interested in speaking with Rafael, Mark and Julius, if possible... I believe they all had the same father. I met him, but my memory isn't really great and I wouldn't be able to give them details. I remember Alice telling me he practiced Karate. Tanya

rafael is now 22 years old, he was adopted age 10, in foster care from age 5-10. when i mentioned to rafael that I found his brothers he was thrilled! he waited a whole lifetime for this. He never did actually talk to them I did. rafael has some psycological issues and is not the average 22 year old. he is VERY kind and sweet and now lives with an adopted sister in there own home the adopted mother bought them. She is trying to teach him responsability. He went to job core for 2 years and we are very proud of him. My husband and I are the closet he has come to biological parents. He loves his adopted parents but does not like them. they have kept him from his bio family with no information even to this day. I was told by julius adopted mother that alice had 15 children. that alice was a drug addict and sad to say did terrable stuff to the boys and also lived the homeless life going from man to man.
