Are you referring to the Adoption Network Law Center located In southern CA? If yes, my husband and I are researching agencies and I have found some information you may want to consider. Please email me directly if you would like me to share what I found.

Hi,
I actually live in California, but thought I'd respond. We just signed up with the adoption network at the end of august, and were matched a week ago! The birthmom actually choose us just days after we signed up, but had to go through some paperwork, etc., before they could tell us. Even that one month of waiting seemed like a long time, so i can imagine what it's like for those who really do have a long wait. We've gotten photos of her and the birth father, and have talked to her on the phone and will meet her in person this weekend.. She seems perfect for us and we're just thrilled.. She's due January 2!
We actually started off using lawyers in oregon, but that didn't go anywhere for us.
I have to admit that i wasn't thrilled with the adoption network's website, but they do a lot of advertising, and get a lot of hits on their site, and place a heck of alot of babies. One of the things that helped sway me to use them was that they sent me a list of names of parents who had successfully adopted through them. I happened to know one of the names from 20 years ago, and i called her up. She lives in New Jersey of all places. She was adopting as a single mom (quite hard to do and they told her to expect that it could take quite a while), and was matched 4 months after signing on with the Adoption Network.
I've also since found some negative things written about them, but it's hard to know what to make of that; I'm sure that no one is successful 100% of the time.
Everyone there has been great in terms of returning our calls, answering questions, etc. I'm really happy with the services they have available for our birthmom.
I'll be happy to respond to any questions.
Whoever you go with, good luck, and don't lose hope.. Best wishes,
Dan
