My husband and I just came back from Almaty Kazakhstan with a little boy (at the time 10 months and a little girl 8 months).
We both married for the first time in 2001 and started our paperwork in April of 2002.
Our experience was sometimes frustrating (more in paperwork and new government rules regarding mixed citizenship marriages we are Candian and American) - but once that was over - our trip overseas, adoption etc etc went very smoothly!!!
It was the trip of a lifetime - we enjoyed every minute of it!!
The children are adorable, healthy, terrific and we are having a blast.
It is exhausting, rewarding and this is coming from a long time business owner that still runs her business out of the house with these two little ones.
I have alot of energy - but have arranged for a sitter on Fridays to take a load off and get stuff done.
It is tough but SO WORTH IT!!!!!!
If anyone is interested in reading about our journey - we have a great website at www.thecorreias.com
Good luck to all that are trying to adopt!!!
Best,
Denise

How wonderful for ALL of you! I think this does sound tough....and I've never done it-----but I've often thought that the really hard stuff, would probably be over by the time the children are around 18months-2yrs. (Well......maybe not the 'into everything' stage-----but probably the 'getting up at night so often' stage????)
Sincerely,
Linny
