Founded by a 13-year-old student who saw not only a physical need, but a need to provide children in the system with a feeling of esteem and dignity, Bags N’ Stuff has grown from being a one-time-donation project to being a strong organization. Noticing that most foster children are laden with just a single garbage bag to carry their belongings in as they are moved from home to home, Adam Azan has reached out to schools and organizations to get donations of duffel bags filled with towels, toiletries, blankets, and stuffed animals. Attached to each bag is a prayer card letting the foster child know that he/she is in someone’s prayers as they continue on with their lives. The bags are delivered by fellow students to foster care facilities, then given to foster children.
