the candle flickers
& casts a pale hue upon your tiny face
i watch the steady rise & fall of your chest
as you dream your baby dreams
suddenly your eyes flutter once,twice & open
your bright brown eyes catch mine
as you give me that sweet smile
my heart flows over
& I fall in love with my baby boy all over again
