I am looking for any birth relative. I was born at Sioux Valley Hospital, surrendered at birth and picked up by my adoptive parents (a Lutheran minister and his wife from Java, SD) at 10 days old. Agency was Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota, and adoption agent was Ed Killen (sp?). I'm 5'11", lt. brown hair, blue/green eyes, 150 lbs., nearsighted, missing two adult molars on lower jaw (probably a genetic condition), mutt ancestry (Scottish, Irish, English, French, probably half Norwegian -- maybe a little German?). Delivering obstetrician was Buck Williams. Thanks!

If your adoption was finalized in SD, and it sounds like it should have been, call the Department of Social Services in Pierre. They were very helpful to me.
SD has a voluntary registry that your birth family might have registered with.
You can also petition the court where it was finalized.
