I read your book and became very excited about my decision to adopt. I notice a lot of situations that become available through attorneys and agencies request two parent families. I got a little discouraged by that but realized the child I want to parent will most likely be waiting for a family because of special needs. I want a child who needs the wonderful love I have to give. Wish me luck!
I do wish you the best of luck. You don't say what State you are in. There are many children available for adoption both with and without special needs. There are children in the US as well as in other countries. The book is a good place to start then I would contact some agencies in your area and see if they have information meetings you can attend. Also, see if you can get involved with adoption support groups in your area.
Keep me posted.
