My question is what kind of paperwork would we need to make sure that we are not taking of thousands of dollars, also what will make sure that she gives up the baby and goes back to the MI? I have been looking up and working on international adoptions since last September and now I am so confused on which way to go. I have contacted INS and it is legal for the birthmother to come to my state to deliver the baby.Any advice would be great. Thanks,Alicia

Alicia,I don't do much in the way of international adoptions. I recommend that you contact Greg Franklin (he's an expert on this board) directly as Greg does international work. You can also contact Cheryl Eisen in Florida and Susan Romer in San Francisco. You can find their contact numbers throughKurt HughesVermont
