Travel to Mongolia

Peggy, I have traveled to Mongolia to adopt our daughter. I went there in May 2002; we adopted through Holt International Children's Services and were just the 3rd family from the US to adopt "legally" from there. Holt had pretty much planned our travel arrangements, told us what to bring, etc. It does depend on the time of the year you go, it can get really cold there. I went in May and there were snow flurries one day. Will you be going via Korea or China? That would make a difference, too. I had to go through China (it's been changed now) and in southern China, we wore shorts. But there's also recommendations about appropriate gifts to bring- both for the orphanage and for officials.
