Heart Gallery
Adoption Awareness
On Sat., Feb. 14th, The Heart Gallery of Tampa Bay will exhibit professional portraits of Hillsborough County children who are available for foster care or adoption at its grand opening at Artists Unlimited Inc., located on 223 North 12th Street in Tampa. Our ultimate goal is to bring the community closer to the reality that there are thousands of children who are languishing in Hillsborough CountyӒs child welfare system, said Ellen Fisher of The ChildrenԒs Home. We need the communityӒs help to end this epidemic.
The gallery is exhibiting 50 portraits of boys and girls for whom finding ԓforever families is more difficult: sibling groups, African Americans and older children. All portraits were taken by professional photographers who volunteered their time.
Admission is free and open to the general public from 1 Ԗ 4 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 14th. Artists Unlimited, Inc., (in the Channelside District) is hosting the exhibit for two weeks. The exhibit is presented by The Childrens Home, African American Families Unite Task Force and Hillsborough Kids, Inc.
If you're looking to adopt, foster, or just want to help, please feel free to join us.
