Several members have been contacted by a member claiming to be their birthdaughter who is seeking a reunion. So far the usernames she has used are confusedmeadow and natalielooking8.
Please remember to always withold some information when you are conducting a search. This way, you will at least have something to use for comparison and verification.

angelmelaniex and StarGemKelli were determined to be the same person. She did not post her search until a birthmother posted her search and StarGemKelli posted a few days later with the exact same information.

All searchers, be cautious!
It is vitally important that you do not "show all your cards" when beginning a search. Be sure you save some piece of information that the person you are looking for should know. If you are contacted, even if you are certain it is a match, ask for a DNA test!!! Odds are, the person you are searching for has been scammed too or has at least read about scams, so they will not be offended that you are wanting to know for certain if they are related to you.

Ok every one. My two cents as an adoptee......keep this post at the begining so everyone will see it! This is one of the most horrable things that I have heard of! Has anyone called her on it or I guess that's why she keeps changing her name?

Breaking the hearts of all involved is truely sick! Now how will these women feel when their birth children do find them. They will have to put up an extra wall.

katie from gainesville florida...don't trust her...i just came to the realization yesterday that I had been taken - how painful it was to admit that but sadly, it is true...watch out for her...she will make you believe things that you would never imagine believing...i hope we can actch her...she got me too and she ripped my heart apart...pm me if you have had a similiar experience...i will tell you what i know...she is still calling me...oh my gosh...how horrible can this girl be and yes, issues, yes, severe mental issues...be careful...she has been doing this since 2001...
Remember, as posted before to not give out all of your details. Make the other person prove some of them. Not that it will make anyone who gets hit up like that feel any better but let's all try to make it next to impossible for her to do it again.
When you see newbee's posting tmi please let them know the concerns of doing that!

Hi everyone,
This girl got to me too. We talked for almost 2 months before I found out the truth. I found out from her parents because they found her cell phone bill and called my number to track where she was calling. They told me she has done this many times. It really broke my heart. She used the name Laurie with me, stating she had friends named natalie(one of her alias according to her parents), amber, and daughters named Katie and Kylie. The stories she told were both heartbreaking and believeable so please be careful. Anyone who want to compare notes on this please contact me PM or email.
