Today we had our first "official" visit with Cabinet for Health and Family Services to learn more about the children they told us about last week. It was an opportunity to hear from those who had contact with the kids about their bios, likes, dislikes, etc. I couldn't believe how many people were there (nine!). After an hour and a half, we walked out carrying pictures of the 3 beautiful babies (3yr, 18mth, 5mth) we hope to adopt. We get to meet them tomorrow for the first time! If all goes well, the plan is to have them in our home in 1 week. Wow!!! For the first couple of hours after the meeting was over, I went about in a daze at how quick things were going to change. The last time I felt that nervous was on my wedding day! Funny. Nevertheless, I managed to buy a rocking chair before getting home. Afterall, we're going to have lots of babies to rock for awhile! Now for some serious redecorating and childproofing......

WONDERUL!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! This WILL take adjustment with a capital 'A'....but it sounds like in your hearts, you're both ready for the challenge!!!!!! Seldom do I hear of THREE babies as young as these are-----and you are fortunate indeed for having this opportunity! I'm sure that after the chaos settles down, things will eventually even out. Just remember to treat the three year old as a new baby too..........it will seem natural for him or her to regress and need the comfort and security of a new momma in that new rocking chair.
(You might want to read up on attachment parenting to use for all three of them.)
Best of luck and keep us updated!!!!!!
Most Sincerely,
Linny
