Originally Posted By deannai am a birthmom and i had an open adoption and it was the best thing for all involved including the twins i placed. my twins are 5 years old now. they love seeing me and the birthdad and their bio family. we do alot of great things with the twins and the adoptive family and its wonderful we go to parks and plays and do different stuff together. trust me i am not a birthmom that has it all. this has its ups and downs and when they twins call their adoptive mother mommy trust me its not all its all cracked up to be. but i dont regret this open adoption at all and i am so glad i get to visit and do stuff with them and the adoptive couple. 10 or so years down the road i wont have all these unanswered questions and i am so glad. i chose the best couple. they are like my own mom and dad too. these people are not selfish at all. this couple lets me take the twins overnight sometimes and thats not selfish. these people are so upbeat and they just like me and its perfect. life hasnt been better. some couples need to have a relationship like what i have.
