I have had no luck or response on Adoption.com or Switchboard.com. No money to go through paid searches or private investigators. If anyone has any thoughts, I am all "ears". Thank you very much and may God bless. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

My brother was born in Chicago. They have a third-party intermediary system and you have to pay $450. However, I can't even find out if he was adopted in Illinois or if the adoption was finalized somewhere else. The only thing I can do, for no money down, is put a piece of paper in his file so, IF he decides to search, he can know I am looking for him. Since his records are sealed, his privacy is protected. Okay, I'll stop rambling.

They will not give you any information but I was able to talk them into contacting that family and they agreed to talk to me as long as my sibling was over 18 years old. I agree with you there should be laws that cover our rights but once adopted I was always told I was not even considered their sibling anymore. I didn't give up though. stay on it!!!!!Good luck!!!
