Hi
I don't know if this will help you but in Alberta were I am you can go to a registry office and order a "registration of Birth". This is for your own birth. It is sort of a long form of a birth certificate that remains at the hospital. So you would have to give them your birth name. This form is filled out when a person is born by the mother and it remains at the hospital. This is where the birth certificate gets its information from. All I gave was my name & date of birth. And my fathers name.I had my mother last name but on this form she had said where she was born & her date of birth & her parents names too. Some mothers put more some put less. Hope this is some help

That's too bad about your Bmom. Do you know your birth name? If so, do you have the same last name as your bmom? If you do, your bfather may not have ever been on the record of birth (that's what happened to me). Unless the couple was married - very unlikely - you may be out of luck records wise. Have patience and hopefully your bmom will come to her senses. Maybe you could 'fake' a medical problem and you HAVE to find this man??? I dunno. Good luck!
