We submitted our first inquiry on a boy in our state who still has an active online profile and video. It is still active.
This was the response to our inquiry and I'm wondering if this is his social worker's 'kind' way of letting us know we aren't the right family for him? I'd love some insight and to know if we should wait to see if he goes 'off hold'? What does 'on hold' mean?
Dear Ms. Xxxxxx,
Thank you for your interest in Xxxxx.
_ A family has been selected for this child and has PLANS.
_ X This child is on HOLD until further notice by their worker.
_ _This child has been PLACED with an adoptive family.
_ This child has been REMOVED by their worker.
The childs worker doesnҒt wish to receive inquiries from families at this time. We do encourage you to consider other children.

Sometimes when you receive that response it's because the child may be having major problems so they put them on hold until behaviors subside. Hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks. The director of our adoption agency wonders if it may be that many people applied and the social worker doesn't want to receive more applications at this time.
