Lets have a little fun!:coffee:
What did you and your significant other do for Valentine's day? Is there something you would have rather done?
My Valentines Day was pretty good...it didn't exactly turn out as planned, but then when does everything go as planned anyway lol :p.
It started off with my boyfriend coming over to my apartment at 7:30 a.m. MST and he was planning to come in with a spare key and kidnap me in my pjs to take me to breakfast, but I happened to have the dead bolt on the door so I had to get up to let him in lol.
Anyway, he still surprised me and then gave me 15 min to get dressed so we could go to breakfast before his first class. Then he came over and left a giant Valentine card and I do mean GIANT on my table for me to find and then came over later and brought me roses, 4 red ones for love and 2 yellow ones for friendship. Then he was planning to make me spaghetti for dinner, but we changed our minds and decided to have pizza for dinner instead. Then he gave me a whole pecan pie instead of chocolate because he thought chocolate was too normal and everyone would be getting it so he decided to get me my favorite kind of pie instead lol (I've never eaten a whole pecan pie by myself - he doesn't like it).
I was thinking of doing steaks or something else for dinner, but things came up and plans changed, but everything turned out good for Valentines Day in the end even though everything wasn't exactly perfect and/or didn't go as planned.
Then I gave him his Valentine, card, chocolate and a game he'd be wanting and I found some fun little Valentine games that we played together with rolling the dice to see if you would cuddle or kiss - each side of the dice said cuddle close, kiss, hug, slow dance, etc. or we played spin the bottle on this little wheel that would point to kiss for 30 seconds, french kiss, kiss on the neck, hug like mad and so forth. We had fun with those little games and my boyfriend liked them and he loved his Valentine too.
After all that, we decided to watch a movie, which I picked to watch Sabrina with Harrison Ford in it, love that movie. My boyfriend insisted on us watching a movie and wanted me to pick a romantic movie for us to watch, which I thought was unusal, but didn't pick up on why he wanted us to watch a movie so much until later on. We were watching the movie and he paused the movie just before midnight to give me one last part of my Valentine right before Valentine's Day ended, which he pulled out from underneath the couch we were sitting on, this large picture that was nicely framed and everything, which was a beautiful picture that I love of Christ with a child on his lap, which happens to be one of my favorite pictures and one of my boyfriend's fave pictures as well too lol.
Anyway, I can't believe he bought me this large nicely framed beautiful picture of Christ with a child on his lap because those framed pics are expensive. I've always looked at them and wanted one, but never bought one because of the price and then he gave me one for Valentines, I was like stunned and all WOW over it plus the gorgeous roses, the GIANT Valentines card, which melted me with what he wrote in it and my favorite pie even though he doesn't like it and he surprised with taking me out to breakfast and was going to make me dinner and wanted to watch a romantic movie with me, which he usually isn't always that big on romantic chic flick type movies.
I felt totally spoiled and everything and just WOWed by him and all the stuff he did, said and gave me for Valentines. It was by far the best of many Valentines for us to come together and he told me he was thinking of getting me a ring like a promise ring until he got me an engagement ring for Valentines, but that didn't work out so this gorgeous framed picture was his next choice and I'm just as happy with that and happy to know that he was at least thinking about getting me a ring even though it didn't work out.
I feel so lucky to have someone like him as my Valentine forever . Despite everything not being exactly perfect or turning out just right and as planned from both our ends, it still turned out in the wash and was the best Valentines for both of us in the end.

Ah, young love, LOL! That sounds like you had quite a day!!
Lets see, I started off in a silly mood, I had stopped at the book store the night before to pick up a small GC for my sweetie, and saw a book of Valentines Day Mad Libs (remember those!!) So I was a bit goofy and I filled 3 of them out and put one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom and one in his car. He was hysterical!
The weather was awful here, there was an ice storm so I got out of work an hour early and made brownies since my fiance has a sweet tooth! He picked up dinner from our favorite restaurant (the one his sister runs, LOL) like we do every year. He got me a stuffed teddy bear holding a red heart. Then I snuggled in and watched Say Anything on TV ( I love Lloyd Dobler!!!!) until my neighbor knocked on the door because a tree limb broke off and crushed the back of her car!
I finished off the night chatting with Mommy and my other girls!!
All in all, a good night :)
We didn't celebrate this year because I was at my mom's recovering from my surgery, but we usally go out for dinner without the kids. :D
