What's your favorite Tim Horton's donut?
Sour cream glazed... I do believe I have gained back 7 pounds in the last few months because of them. Don't know why I ever took my first bite!!!!! DH LOVES dutchies.

I have to say...i'm a little sad that there isn't a court date anymore....why did they decide to do that? I'm sure it's faster, but I liked how official the court date was.
Thanks Michelle! If you have not yet received your papers, they should be coming soon because there is a backlog I have been told.

Leigh... I agree with you as well. I am sorry there was no official court date. Apparently it was stopped because it only takes a few minutes to finalize so now rather than everyone coming to court etc...they do it in chambers

I was/am sad too. Our finalization with Roo was much more anti-climactic than with Bug. For her, we drove over two hours to get to the court, were all dressed up and went before the judge with other family members present. He spoke some wonderful words and we left really feeling affirmed as Bug's parents. With Roo, I was in my pajamas (with my foot in a cast) when the doorbell rang. Mr. Mailman probably thought I was nuts as I cried when he handed me the letter. After I opened it, hugged my baby boy, well, that was it. We did order in pizza instead of me cooking something for lunch. Guess that was celebration enough!
I don't know why they changed it. Probably some reason like the courts are backed up and adoptions didn't actually need an appearance to be finalized. Too bad as our judge said it was one of the only happy moments he ever got to preside over in family court.
