how to show state adoption law is in effect

Hello Everyone,

thanks for keeping this site alive and sharing your good news. I was wondering if some of you who are on your way to Brazil were able to prove that the adoption law in your state of domicile is in the one in effect. I keep calling the state law library and they keep referring me to the web site, which does not show the date on the latest law. Any ideas?

Hi,

My husband and I had the same dilema. We eventually went to an attorney who provided us with the printout of the state laws (same ones we found online) and he included a letter stating that these were the most current state law.
