Are you a ba humbug at Christmas, or a very Merry person? I love Christmas, although I don't really like all the commercialism in it now. I do love the lights, the kids excitement, the good deeds, etc.
I use to love Christmas but it brought up so much trauma for some of my kids that it just makes me sad now. I do like the music, though.

VERY, VERY, VERY merry! This is my favorite time of year by far! I love all the excitement and I also love the quite of the season. I love to sit with all the Christmas lights on and Christmas music playing very softly after everyone has gone to bed.
We listen to "Christmas" music year round. :D The kids all really like the Trans Siberian Orchestra, and we all enjoy the cd's we have from other artists as well. Additionally, Dh is a die-hard "White Christmas" and "Scrooge" fan, so we watch those every couple of months all year long. So while we aren't VERY MERRY, we definitely are Somewhere In The Middle, because we do stuff all thru the year. LOL
I'm Merry but only after December officially begins. I cannot get in the spirit on Thanksgiving or even right after. Usually it builds up for me and by the time mid December arrives, you just might find me dancing to the neverending music in the stores..;)

I Love Christmas! From Dec 1 to Jan 1 I celebrate. Although I do not care much for the complete commercialism. I enjoy the giving and loving atmosphere and keep true too the true meaning of the Christmas Season!
Medium, I think. I love baking Christmas cookies, lights, music, cheesy TV Christmas specials like Rudolph, the Grinch, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, but I hate the stores (and our neighbors!) that have Christmas stuff up before Halloween. I am sick to death of the Christmas light tours through our neighborhood. It has gotten so that we have to leave 15 minutes early for everything just so we'll have time to back out of our own driveway.
Hmm. Maybe I am Scrooge.
I have always LOVED Christmas, but since I have been married it has taken a different direction and I am not too hot on it. I was raised to be VERY appreciative for even the littlest thought. DH's family is ALL about the big giant greed fest...it is DISGUSTING! The worst part is that my step daughters have always had both parents/families trying to "compete" (I have been able to control ot to a degree) for family of the year by going overboard on them. My family is very simple with gifting only the children and usually just one gift. Guess who's house they would rather be at for Christmas...grrr!
Anyway, with the boys now, I have been able to call more shots and even told MIL not to spend as much on the children. I seem to be able to enjoy it more watching the innocence of discovering Christmas. For example, FIL went hunting and got an elk this year. Bug is convinced that all the reindeer he is seeing are "Papa's elk". We tried to explain to him that they are reindeer that pull Santa's sleigh...no, Papa's elk drive Santa. Precious memories!

I'm pretty darn merry at Christmas. I love getting together with family, waking up to the glittering tree and presents... just the feel of the whole season is still as magical to me now as it was when I was a child.
It's the hap-happiest time of the year!
I love Christmas music
I love shopping for the perfect gifts
I love entertaining both family and friends
I love finding the most beautiful Christmas dresses for my girls and the matching Christmas shirts for my boys
I love the Christmas programs
I love the parades and decorations
I love the opportunity to get all my mom and dad's kids, grandkids and great grandkids under one roof
I love getting Christmas cards in the mail
I love watching the excitement build in my children's eyes
I love being able to say "Santa is watching."
But mostly I love going to the late night candlelight service on Christmas Eve, and once again feeling the tears well up in my eyes as the magnitude of our Father's love fills my spirit.
