Hello!
I am suddenly internet challenged; please help if you can.
There was a highway accident that killed 2 men, travelling on Eyre Highway; not sure of the exact date, but somewhere in the realm of November 28 - December 1, 2007. I did find a brief article once, that disclosed little, and said names were not being released pending notification of next of kin; now I can find NOTHING.
I do know that these 2 men were travelling from Perth to Sydney, I believe the accident occurred on Thursday but am not sure of the time of day, and I am also time-zone challenged! so it could have been even Wed or Thur or Fri in AUS. Apparently the highway (or a section of it) was closed down for quite some time following the accident.
I just wonder if anyone down there! knows anything about the accident and where I can find internet updates.
Thanks!
There is this one ?
Man killed in car crash
13th December 2007, 13:15 WST
A man has died in a crash today on the Eyre Highway involving a car and a truck.
Sgt Cameron Clifford from Kalgoorlie police said the car was incinerated in the collision.
A male occupant was killed instantly, while a 15-year-old boy was rushed to Norseman Hospital with severe injuries.
The accident occurred about 40km west of Balladonia. The highway was closed for several hours while police investigated.

Thanx! but not this one ... although it's tragically similar;
I know the names of the 2 men involved but hesitate to post them as apparently some next-of-kin have been difficult to locate.
I know that it WAS a father and son, just as in the story you found! But the father would be in his 50's and the son therefore probably 20's - 30's. And it definitely happened Nov 29 or 30.
The father had recently married a Canadian woman from my hometown; she was actually scheduled to fly to AUS and that is why the father and son were on the highway, driving to the airport, November 28 - 30th; her flight was scheduled to arrive Dec 1. She knew of the accident before she flew and didn't change her plans. She was travelling with her son, 20's, medically challenged.
A horrible tragedy, my heart breaks for her; she is in touch with some other friends here who told me about the accident but details are sketchy and I so hoped to find something on the internet.
I expect a death announcement will follow eventually, once the next-of-kin contact is resolved.
My first reaction to this and other stories is always, I Am So Blessed. It makes all other day-to-day problems so trivial. Hate my job, hate the weather, etc., etc., but I have a healthy and happy family. I am blessed.
Thanks for your effort! Have a great day!
