DH and I found out two weeks ago my 15 year old sister is 33 weeks pregnant. We talked about it along with her and have decided we are going to go ahead and take guardianship of the baby when she is born and proceed with the adoption process. She has talked with the biodad and said we will not get any problems from him TPR. We have not yet contacted an attorney because we dont have the funds for one yet. Has anyone done this type of adoption in Ohio and if so what is the process and about average fees associated. Also DH medical insurance will not cover the baby until the adoption is complete, will we be able to get state insurance for the baby for that time period. Thanks in advance.
