Last night I watched the Locator and I boo hoo'd like crazy. The episode that got me...there were four children ages 1, 2, 4, 6. (three girls and one boy) For their wedding anniversary, the man's wife hired the Locator to find the two younger sisters. He and the older sister were fostered/adopted together and the two younger girls were foster/adopted together.
It was so sad. The foster care records showed that when he was a child, he kept asking about his little sisters, and when he was adopted he never stopped asking about them. He somehow held onto a picture of himself, older sister and the sister under him.
Anyway, both set of children had very positve adoption experiences. Of the set of two sisters, the youngest one (because she was a baby) had no recollection of ever having a brother or older sister. The were ready to get on the plane to meet their other siblings, right then and there. The youngest had never been married and had 5 children. Her adopted parents divorced when they were teens. She said she felt everyone leaves her as soon as she begins to trust them. She also said that she was placed with a very loving family but felt that part of her was missing. The other sister was had one child and was separated from husband.

I'm so glad that for now we have a good relationship with our kiddos bio mom and pray they always have a relationship with their 1/2 brothers. We've heard rumors that their bio father has another child, but it has not been confirmed and he has denied. I only have one sister, but I can't imagine how it would feel to have other siblings out there and never know where they were.
I hope this family now has a chance to heal some wounds and grow a relationship!
