Asking for help....

Hi, My name is Daniel and I've undertaken to try and find my wife's birth parents/family if at all possible. She began the process a couple of years ago but found it emotionally difficult and asked me a few days ago if I could help.... My wife was adopted by Paul and Shirley Fleener when a few months old and given the name Pamela Sue Fleener. She was born 5th December 1965 in San Diego's Sharp Memorial Hospital and was called by the nurses 'the little Dunphy' girl'. I believe Dunphy to be her birth father's last name. He was born 1930 (likely date) in Jamaica but was residing in NY at the time he met and formed a relationship with Pam's birth mother. Upon finding out he was to have a child from this relationship he left the scene. Pam's birth mother was also born in Jamaica in 1923 (likely date) and was living in NY when pregnant with Pam (1965). We believe her maiden name is Calder, but she had been married twice before so are unsure if she had perhaps resumed using an earlier married surname. Her first husband died during the second world war, and the second marriage ended in divorce before my wife's birth. There were two children born from the second marriage, a boy in 1952 (likely date) and a girl in 1949 (likely date), and they would have been ages 13 and 16 when Pamela was born and put up for adoption. As half-brother/sister siblings my wife has real interest in finding them as well, particularly if her birth mother has already passed away. We don't know much more, just as most people who turn up at this site, and though it's hard to ask someone you don't know for help and guidance - I am.
