thanks. well, i'm alive, my children are healthy, my washer is fixed, and the snow has melted. so...pretty good. :) now if only the girl scout would come back around so i could get a few more boxes of cookies, i'd be fabulous. ;)
um.. the last I heard you were trying to fix the washer yourself. Did you succeed or call in reinforcements?

lol...when i realized the part i needed cost 100 bucks and was pretty delicate...i called in reinforcements. lol. i'm glad....apparently it is a problem with our washer and so there is no cost for the repair or part even though it isn't under warranty. :) so that worked out....but i sure did take my washing machine apart and figure out what the problem was. lol!
I'm sending Jacob to you for spring break then. He loves to take things apart and then put back together.;)
My dh brought home cookies last night and told me the tag-a-longs didn't make it home because of "damage". Savannah says "let me guess, the damage involved biting?" LOL! I can't fault him too much...I did kill off an ENTIRE sleeve of thin mints myself last night
I cannot have these cookies. I have NO will power. The only thing stopping me from getting into the samoas right now is the novocain and root canal I just had done. LOL!
TGM - She can come fix your dishwasher next.;)
you just listed my 3 favorite cookies. :) yum!
YES! I love to take things apart and put them back together. look what i did 2 nights ago in 2 hours while i watched the olympics. i have never done this before, and didn't know how...just took it apart, and put it back together with new fabric. :)

That looks awesome Brook!
Crick - A sleeve of thin mints is a serving in my opinion. :)
Sounds good to me! No one asked me this year so I have no GS cookies at all. (I guess I'll have to buy Ely's Tag-a-long ice cream.!)
NO GIRL SCOUT COOKIES? sad. :( this year we didn't know any gs...and we live where we don't have many neighbors...so when one came to our door i told her she was my new best friend. :) lol.
thanks for the kudos on the chair. it is now the prettiest piece of furniture i own. lol. with 5 kids (4 that are boys) and 2 cats....not much that is pretty left in this house. lol. i told dh i want a "secret room" that i can decorate and have nice things in with a big tv that the kids don't know about and the cats aren't allowed in... with a secret entrance that looks like a bookshelf. :) it is my dream!

My brother actually did one of those revolving bookshelves like on Scooby Doo for my SIL's office in their house. I have been begging for one ever since. :)
Ahhhh . . . . a room with no evidence of kids or cats. A girl can dream. :D
Umm... the cat dies and the kids leave home and you wish for the "old days"... until they come home with their kids, LOL

and thus the secret room...the rest of the house remains free roam for all who visit....but i always have just a touch of niceness in the secret room. :) lol.
i have 5 kids- 2,4,6,15, and 16. and want 1 more......if each of them have 2 kids i will have an endless supply of little furniture ruiners running around. :) especially with the way i spaced out my kids. lol. i look forward to the next 30 years of cute kids breaking things.....except not in the secret room.....cuz it would be a secret. :) can't i have my cake and eat it too? :) please, please?
I have 3 kids (including D) between them they currently have 9 kids (as pictured in my avatar) with the 10th due in a few weeks... the oldest will be 16 in June. The secret room is a great idea.
Good luck with the cake! (BTW - the grandkids do go home, even if they spend the whole summer!)
