You with the brown hair and blue eyes like mine
The heart that may have a hole in it
Just as mine does for you
We may have similar features but could be different
in so many ways-
Will we ever really know?
Is your hair still brown and your eyes blue,
or did you change so you would look less like me?
Am I a faded, distant memory?
Or have you been thinking of Me as I have if You?
We are of the same blood,
have the same hair and eyes,
You carried me for nine months inside
Yet strangers we are,
Strangers we shall remain
Until our Blue Eyes meet once again.
Wow, that's a really lovely poem. Nearly brought tears to my brown eyes!
I hope your blue eyes meet again soon.

Awwww thank u! I have recently started going to counseling, and my being adopted is one of the things we are working through... I have been reading "Primal Wound" and I think the combination of that book and talking about feelings has inspired me with a lot of my recent poetry.
thank you again!
