Hello All,
I am wondering how long families stayed in Poland for their second trip. My husband and I are looking into travel plans (to see how much we need to save) and are thinking that my husband will return home after the court has finalized the adoption and I will stay in Poland to finish up the visa paperwork. Did anyone else do this? If you could give me as much detailed info about your trip and what happened I would greatly appreciate it:thanks: . Feel free to PM me.

Hi!! We were there for six weeks...and that is about the shortest possible I think. Our bonding period was 2 weeks, and I've heard of them being three or more, and our appeal period was shortened from 21 to 14 days. We were lucky about that because our immigration approval was expiring while we were in Poland. It takes a week or two after finalization to get the birth certificate, Polish version of a social security number, polish passport and complete the US embassy stuff. I would say 7-8 weeks is more normal...but I know of stories where there were court (or other) issues and it was longer. I'd be curious about what others have to say.

we are currently here in Poland on our second trip. we had a 2 wks bonding period and are now in Warsaw. Our adjudication period was NOT shortened. So we will be here until the 14th of June, hopefully no later. My husband left a few days and I am staying behind with the other kids. the days are long and I will not lie...the waiting here is difficult, internet not always reliable, and kids not always cooperative. But...we'll ge thru it.
