Look at the author. He's got some sort of agenda. I find it interesting that he likes Ann Coulter and he's Asian. He appears to be a walking stereotype but tries to hide behind flawed information presented as scientific fact. He comes across as a classic self hater.
Make sure you go and look at his previous work. He's quite controversial...
Engineers have more sons & Nurses have more daughters
Beautiful people have more daughters.
Low Intelligence and Africans
Asians and lack of Creativity
From what I understand the article never made it to print. It was actually posted online. I heard about it and didn't even bother to read it, it was clearly garbage designed to incite. Dude is a self-hating, attention-wh_ring loon. I'm happy they took it down and just hope this doesn't make it to mainstream media. They probably wouldn't even touch it. I don't think even Fox News would touch it.Very disappointed in PT, they claim they did not approve the "blog post".

The students where he teaches are trying to get him fired. He's a nut... they brought up an article he wrote entitled Women are (essentially or basically) prostitutes. I need to run down that one for a read. He is dangerous because he uses supposed scientific evidence to back his opinions.
I loved some of the rebuttals that other bloggers on PT wrote. Those polled for the study were mainly CC teenagers in North Carolina if I remember correctly.
This whole thing kind of brings to light why black women tend to have higher self esteem than women of other races. If people are hating on you all the time to this level you have a choice of falling under the pressure or telling them to kiss your behind.
He was controversial prior, so it was not new. Psychology Today pulled him as a contributor. I am for free speech, but not under the guise of "science".I did not delve further into this article, but here is a follow-up.In Defense Of Evo Psych - Ta-Nehisi Coates - National - The Atlantic

I've been reading blogs discussing this subject. I found some pretty interesting reads along the way. What do you think of following an Isolationist Standard of Beauty? The author takes the stance that she doesn't compare black women to any other race. Now I thought we already did that... how else would we have such high self esteem when the general standard of beauty is not us? I know that I was always told to not compare myself to other races so I've pretty much sat on the sidelines and watched how other women torture themselves to conform.
Definitely have to go by our own standards. I was listening to Maya Angelou rendition of Ain't I a woman, and Still I rise. Putting that mammy head tie on our hair, negative descriptions etc; We have no choice but to ignore such lies, love all about ourselves, and teach our daughters (and sons to appreciate the beauty of a Black woman) the same.
