Is there a regulation about the age difference between kids sharing a room if they are siblings? Also, is there a website that list the regulations for California? I see the basics on many sights, but the ones that get into square footage per child, # per room, ages in a room, public or private school, can you have a trampoline, etc.
Also, if you adopt from California but live in another state, whose regulations do you follow?
wanted to answer since no one else seems to know the answer....
I don't either...really, all I know is that I'm going through my CA county and only same gender can share rooms, but am unsure if there is an age difference (like age 5 and 12) as well.
Also since I live in CA can't answer your out of state question, but I would think that if you were matched with a CA child, the agency would tell you if there were any regulations or things that this match needed....does that make sense?

I'm in California. I can tell you the rules for my county, but I don't know if they are statewide. Here, two children of opposite sex can share a room if both are under age 5. Children of the same sex can share a room, but there must be no more than a 5 year age difference between them (they may waive this to keep siblings together). Children under 2 can sleep in the parent's room. We don't have any rules about square footage per child, but no more than 2 children can sleep in a room. Public or private school is okay. I've never heard of any rules against trampolines, but I don't own one, so I'm not sure.
I'm not sure whose regulations you would follow if you are adopting a California child from another state.
