Hi to everyone.Yesterday (11/25/11) I registered with this forum. Soon after, I posted my first thread in,
"Born or Adopted in 1960s Adoption Records" Below is a copy of the thread. Today as I was looking through all the posts, I got the bright idea to type my last name, at birth, into the search box, and the second post that I have qouted is what I found.
The emotions are all mixed up right about now, I am surprised due to the fact that I did not know about her until about an hour ago. I am excited an hope to reunite with her; and at the same time I am worried that it will not happen, since she posted her search back in 2003. I have already checked her profile, and sent her an email, hoping that she will see it. She has not visted the site sine June of '03. I'm wondering, will that email go to her main email, or does she have to login to see it? Her name is Alica Hoadley. Hoping someone is in contact with her
I don't know if this is posted in the right place or not. If not, could moderator please move it to the proper place. As I said, I did not even know about a younger half sister from mothers side. I was told that there were complications with me, which left her unable to have any more kids; so this is a complete surprise.

P.S. I did meet Larry and Tina back in 1997, along with my birth father. we stayed in contact for a short time, and that was all.

Hello, my name is Diana, I am 44 years old; looking for my birth mother. I do have a lot of info, just not about her. I think her name might be Jacqulin, or Jackie Atha (at the time of my birth.) I was the third of 3 children born to her and ( then husband) Coy Atha. I was born at Prince William hospital in Manassas Va. From what I have learned, at the time that I was born, she would have been 19 or 20 years old.

I am reposting this with more information. I am looking for 3 siblings. Larry was born in 1965 out of Georgetown Hospital, Tina was born in 1966, and Diana was born in 1967 (don't know what hospital they were born in). They were adopted out of Manassas, Va. This is the most information I have if anyone could help or if it is you please respond. I am your half sister.

Very very exciting... I hope a moderator can answer your question but my best guess if she left an email address it would go through - the big but though is whether she still has that email address. Hopefully even if the email address does not work her page left enough clues to start searching? I would check for other adoption registries as well like gsadoption registry and for sure fill out the ISRR.net form - both are free. Kind regards,Dickons

Just wanted too give an update. Talked to Alicia, she is my sister. Also talked to mom, the one I was originally searching for. I wish every search could go this smoothly. I joined this forum late Friday, did the name search about 5:00 Saturday, and just got off the phone with a sister that I didn't even know I had. I am still in shock; can't hardley wrap my mind around how everything is falling into place.
