i was adopted in 1959 and i know very little about my mother or father. due to serious medical reasons, i would like to find my mother and father. i know the lawyer who handled the adoption but he is dead and his son and my adoption mother are very close. (my adoptive mother would be upset if she thought i was looking ) the doctor who deliveried me he is now dead. where should i start?thanks

I imagine they probably divorced, but I don't know where to go next. VA has the law as well that, if i have Soc Serv seek out B/M or family and they say no, I am not supposed to contact them. Is it a crime if I would do so anyway? I don't want to give up yet! I and my sons have some health issues to ask about, and I wanted to let B/M know I had a really good life - she probably did the best thing she could have for me!Any ideas?
