Got a call yesterday for a HEALTHY newborn baby girl 8#s-born Tuesday 3/6/12, making baby number 8 for mom. First 7 are in fostercare-for violence, neglect & abuse. We got that call too a year ago, sadly (but understandably) seperate homes. Here's my dilemma-mom shortly most likely going to jail for a few years. DYFS says she will likely going to get all 8 kids back when she gets out-so tell me who could take a newborn & raise it for 2-4yrs-then simply give it back to a WACK JOB? She has had a year to try to get it together while her first 7 have been in care-for the state to immediately take this newborn tells me she has done nothing... DYFS knowing we are a fost/adpot home (Yes I know ALL CASES ARE RU) & still called us because they are desperate and are running out of homes. REALLY? WOW how shocking..Come on people this system needs to change!!!! Time for the judges to be held accountable and lets stop this merry go round of endless chances for the BIO's who are playing the system.....Sorry to say we did not take this baby girl-it really breaks my heart:grr:
