My dd is 8 (adopted from foster care 2 years ago). She is full AA. I noticed about a year ago, that she has underarm hair.
I am wondering if this is typical in AA kids? I have 4 bio kids, and never noticed underarm hair until about 10 or 11. There are no other obvious signs of puberty.
thanks
Hi, That's pretty much along the tanner stage, are there other signs..breast buds etc? I would take her to the pediatrition. The current outlook is AA kids tend to enter puberty earlier, BUT still have her checked out. If you have not, I would look into reducing her exposure to hormones in diary and meat products.
