This is only the kind of thing you hear about or people tell stories of people who know people that this happened to, and then they overgeneralize to say it happens a lot... but I never thought it REALLY happened.
So we celebrated our 15th anniversary in Moscow while on trip 3 to get our new son. We got home and wife was not feeling well so I encouraged her to go to the doctor.
Learned, we're 6 weeks pregnant!
We'll see what the future holds because our last 4 pregnancies ended in miscarriages, but we abandoned hope of having biological children YEARS ago (after months of unsuccessful fertility treatments).

Oh, what a sad let down! I'm so sorry (fighting back the tears, honestly). I know you find blessings in your children, and I hope you and your wife will get through this grief quickly. Hugs to you both.
