Hi,
Im not sure where should I post my question and am new to the forum.
Both me and my spouse would like to adopt however due to our profession, age, health history, and other legal issues we are not qualified to adopt in the USA. Anyway before we moved to the USA we have tradition for sending gift anonymously to the orphanage for their birthday or Christmas.
Recently several kids listed here caught our eyes (as they have the same interest as ours). Would it be too weird/inappropriate to send them Christmas gift anonymously as secret Santa ?
My idea would be to send the gifts to the agency and ask them to pass it to the children anonymously.
Any idea or information would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
SS
A lot of agencies have "adopt" a family/child lists for their kids in foster care so I don't see this as an odd concept. You could also contact your local child services dept. and inquire about their lists.
Contact the agencies and see if they allow for it.:)

I don't know if you could get them to a specific child, but you certainly could contact the agency and ask, or just send some presents to any agency andask they be given to a needy child. It's a wonderful idea!
Thank you for the advice and directions.
Just an update.
I sent emails to 2 agencies and called one of them.
Havent receive any responses for the email I sent. The one I called, thinks i am an alien from another planet :prop: and never heard about people anonymously donating toys/gift for the kids on the adoption list.
I thinks its probably better for the time being to send it to Red Cross and Hurricane Sandy victims.
Thanks everyone and Happy Holidays
