I am new and my husband and I are looking into adoption. I was told I need to take the MAPP or PRIDE training, only I dont know where they do that. Can someone help me?
Call your local FSS (Family Support services) office. Here in NE Florida they do MAPP thru some of the agencies too (Boy's home is where we did ours). Maybe look in yellow pages for either "Foster Care" or google "foster care xxx county" and see what comes up for agencies. Hi! I was wondering if anyone had actual phone numbers or email address to the Boys Home in Duval county for the accelerated MAPP classes to take. I have tried Googleing it but can't seem to find anything. Thanks so much!

Did you try calling Family Support Services? Tell them what you need and they should be able to direct you. I'm not sure if Boy's Home does licensing anymore. It's been 9 yrs for us :)
We are in Hillsborough county and the state is contracted with Eckerd youth and family alternatives. You can go to state adoption site and they will show you *some* waiting children, and also get you contact information for the agency in your county to get the process of the MAPP classes and homestudy started, which is helpful because the agency walks you through everything :) if you need anything, you can PM me
