Okay, I'm scared to death, but here goes. I know that my mother had a child in 1956 or 57 in the Detroit area of Michigan. I have no idea if this person is searching or even knows that they are adopted, but if he/she is searching, I'd like them to know I am, too.
I joined an e-mail group for Michigan Closed Adoptions. This sibling was born during the time that adoptions were closed. I don't know any other way of getting information. I just thought I'd post here and test the waters. I'd appreciate any helpful input. Thank you.

She is the one that has to request the non-identifying and search services...a sibling cannot request this.

I was born on Oct. 14, 1956, female, my birth mother's name on the adoption papers was Donna Lester, my birth name was Norma Jean Lester. I found a Donna Lester on the ancestory.com site who married a Richard Thorman and had a son Timothy. I'm pretty sure that's my birth mom but I've hit a deadend at this point. Please reply.
Did the ancestry.com information give an email address or phone number for the person submitting the information? If so contact them and try to get some information.

I am looking for my nephew born in Detroit at the same time 1956 or 57.
my brother fathered a child when he was 15 or 16 his girlfriends last name Kase.
HI VanDer
Very very long shot here but from our information my husband's b parents were from Michigan, but his b mom travelled to St Petersburg Florida to give birth. The Father was " supposedly" 25 at the time of birth, that is a 10 year age difference between who you are looking for I know, but If we have learned anything over the last 2 plus years of searching it is not to trust the adoption agency and to always be thinking outside the box. Here is a link to our web site with lots of information , the odd thing is my husbands adopted last name is CASE ! let me know if anything sounds familiar and good luck with your search!!!

Are you female, born May 1964, birth name Dawn? I have 2 cousins, male born in 56-58 female born in 1964. Male's birth name is Wayne.
i think you are replying to someone other me, but just in case, my husband was born in 1958..but in St Petersburg, we believe it is likely but not 100 percent his birth mom came from Michigan. Let me know to whom you are replying if you would..and the best of luck finding your cousins.

I checked name that I was trying to send a message to and it's listed only as archive. Thanks for responding but the two people I'm looking for were both born in Detroit. They were taken away from birth mother for abuse. Male was sent to a home, female adopted by a family who would only take one child. My grandmother would give me no info and now she is deceased. Thank you, Kelly.
I was born at providence hopital on may 25 1956.was named michelle by my birth mother.am tall with red hair.baptized in the hospital chapel.
Hi Everyone,
I am reaching out with a sensitive and important request for assistance in our family history research. My primary goal is to obtain information regarding the birth or adoptive parents of my mother, Marilyn Francis Lillard. I want to emphasize that this search is not intended to make contact or cause any disruption in the lives of her biological parents; rather, it is an effort to gain a deeper understanding of our family history and heritage.
Here are the details we have regarding my mother's background:
Name: Marilyn Francis Lillard
Birthdate: April 12, 1956
Birthplace: Detroit, Michigan (although it's possible she may have been born in a neighboring city or state)
My mom's adoptive father was Olvettie Lillard, who was married to a woman named Betty at the time of her adoption.
Any information or assistance you can provide, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, would be immensely appreciated. We understand the sensitive nature of this search and want to assure you that our intentions are purely for the purpose of tracing our family's history and constructing our family tree.
Please feel free to respond to this message with any details, suggestions, or guidance you may have. Your help in this matter would mean a great deal to our family, and we approach this with the utmost respect and understanding.

Have you tried Family Search?
There's a bit of family information for Olvettie. There's not a great deal but worth trying.
ID on the family search app (which is free)

I've used this app extensively even though I'm not Mormon myself.
Hopefully my screenshot is attached.
