Sad Times

sadness fills my heart, when i think of you
not knowing what you look like, or knowing how you do
I show your pretty face to everyone I see
when they ask me who it is, i say my baby
I know it was my choice to give you up that day
but I never knew the devastation that i feel today
this is the hardest thing by far
I’ll ever have to do
no one knows my pain, no one has a clue
how it feels to hold your son
and then give him away
after you’ve completly fallen in love, and act like you’re okay
when you feel like you have died
a piece of you is gone, happiness has no meaning
the days are depressing and long.
