A Boise, Idaho agency, A New Beginning, opens up a wellness center to help all who are involved in the adoption process. Stephanie Pearl, executive director of a New Beginning, explains the importance of healing and understanding that needs to happen on all sides of an adoption process. A birth mother shares her story of placing her child through the agency and how important it was for her to keep it as an open adoption. Staying connected has been good for her and her child she placed. One parent shares her open adoption experience when she met the birth parents before adopting her daughter and how they all felt it was the right thing to do.

Many agencies have helped with open adoption. Studies have shown that children in open adoptions adjust better and are healthier mentally and emotionally as they grow up.
