The Things You Wish You Had Known In Your Adoption Journey

Hi guys! I was hoping I could get some of the top advice you would have for someone hoping to adopt a baby in the US.

What do you wish you had known when you started? What information should they have? What steps do they need to take to adopt?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I think the thing that surprises most adoptive parents is how beneficial an open adoption can be to all parties. That is one of the first things I would suggest researching, even before you create a profile.
