Oftentimes people say things they really shouldn't in front of your children. Things like "So why didn't their real parents keep them?" or "DId you adopt because you couldn't have kids of your own?" Not only are these questions rather offensive, but they can also deeply impact a child's developing identity. How do you gently correct others while protecting your child from these ignorant comments?
