Bryson is a sweet child who brings joy into the room with his smile and pride to his caregivers in seeing his accomplishments. He loves to interact with the world around him. Bryson enjoys being taken for walks in his special stroller. He loves to sit in the swing outside and look at the sky and the birds. He also loves to receive affection. Bryson likes to interact with other children. Even though he is unable to respond to them as they respond to each other, the smiles and joy reflected in his face tells the story of his feelings. He likes to watch TV and play with toys that have flashing lights and sounds. Bryson is working on learning and developing sign language. While slow going, he recently was able to sign ?EURoemore?EUR. Bryson is learning to walk in a special walker. He can hold his head up for short periods of time and lift it on his own a little when there is something to see that interests him. He likes to have floor time. Bryson never stops trying to interact with the world. While it is a struggle for him, his small successes are immense for those around him to see. He doesn?EUR(TM)t give up and he doesn?EUR(TM)t have the capacity to accept defeat. Bryson continues to amaze everyone around him. Everyone who has ever come to work with him has ended up being a permanent part of his life, as he is a bright light in the room.
Bryson's forever family will have infinite grace for patience and dedication to attending to this sweet child. While he requires 24 hour care and supervision, the rewards are found in the joy in his smiles and interactions and in seeing the improvements that happen with nurturing care. Bryson?EUR(TM)s home will be located in an area where there are resources to provide the medically required equipment, supervision, and therapies he needs to maintain and improve his quality of life. His family will also need to be able to provide the necessary long term care and resources that Bryson will need throughout his childhood and into adulthood.
