Cody loves finding ways to make money. He likes to collect items to sell and he enjoys going to garage sales. He gets excited when he finds bargains. Cody says he wants to start a business at a young age, so he can have money as an adult. Cody loves watching movies and prefers action movies. He likes to travel and recently visited a big city for the first time. He loves spending time with his foster family. Cody also enjoys reading and watching TV. He likes after-school activities at the local Boys Club, where he plays chess, pool, basketball, and other activities. He also likes helping his foster dad with yard work. Cody does pretty well at school and is proud of how the teacher gives him "special duties" where he helps out in the classroom. Cody can be very private and quiet and sometimes needs help to engage with other children his age. He is an intellectual youth who is focused on the future. Cody desires to be adopted and says he wants to be in a home where he is the only child or the oldest child. He would like to stay in Texas, but says Oklahoma will be fine, or any other state that is close to Texas. Cody sometimes struggles to get along with children his own age or older than him. He tends to take on a "caretaker" role when he is around children younger than him. He needs a family that is willing to work with him and teach him how to get along with other children. He also tends to prefer solitary interaction and needs to be encouraged by his family to engage in activities with others. Cody wants a home with a mom and a dad. He needs a family that will cultivate his interest in business, while keeping him grounded in the fact that he is still just a child and should do fun things that other kids his age are doing. Cody needs a family that is willing to commit to him and work with him. The right family for Cody will not be afraid of meeting his fears, which he shows through "tough talk" and "tough action."
