Landon is a happy child. He has recently shown an interest in music and he enjoys dancing. He likes watching Sponge Bob cartoons and singing along with music. He has adjusted well in his foster home and has developed a strong relationship with his foster family. Landon is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and attends classes designed for children with Autism at school. He utilizes resources and assistance to help him succeed. He receives speech, occupational, and physical therapy. When Landon gets frustrated, he loves to be talked to and held to help him calm down. Although he is non-verbal, he appears to be able to understand directions. At times he seems unaware of others and babbles to himself. Landon is very animated and enjoys drawing. He also really enjoys playing with cars and trucks and making car noises while he is playing. He likes brightly animated movies as well. Landon is very affectionate and likes giving hugs and making people happy. He is very pleasant and full of energy. He loves puzzles and books.
Landon's family will be nurturing and understanding of his lifelong needs. It will be very beneficial if the family has an understanding of Autism. Landon needs a family who will be able to meet his needs and provide supervision for his day to day activities. He will thrive with a family that understands how to parent a child with special needs. Landon's family will be able to see the importance of encouraging him to reach his potential.
