Adoption Advocate Writes Novel Of Her Abortion Survival

"I can't imagine who I would be if I had not forgiven."

Denalee Chapman February 17, 2017

Abortion survivor, adoptee and advocate for life and adoption, Melissa Ohden, has written about her experience of when she found out, at age 14, that she had survived an abortion. From shock to shame, Melissa shared how forgiveness helped her overcome sadness and grief. Her journey to forgive has blessed her with relationships she didn’t know were possible. From the day she learned she was expected to be successfully aborted, Melissa took a decade to work through that information, to search for her birth family and to find honest joy in reunification.
