Matt and Mandy are the adoptive parents of two children. Learning early in their relationship that they would most likely not have biological children, adoption became a welcome method for creating their family. Matt, himself, was adopted. As an adoptee in a loving family, Matt has always felt like his adoptive family is exactly where he belongs. This has carried through to his adulthood and has affected their desire to adopt.
Matt and Mandy have had many circumstances reinforce their knowledge that their family is meant to be together. In this video, Matt shares an experience they had when their daughter was just two weeks old—an experience that proved to them that God is in the details, that nothing is accidental, and that Kaitlyn is where she belongs.
Family is a gift. How our families are created are also gifts. And yet, it is also natural. For Matt and Mandy and their children, they know that they belong together.
