Xavier was arrested at age 11. He was certain he’d be dead by the age of 12. But Xavier was adopted. His dad, Joe has offered him and his siblings a chance at life, a chance at love, a chance at believing in themselves. Joe’s other sons share their experiences of foster care, struggles, hardship, and finally adoption. Their stories are testimonies that it’s never too late. Their experiences teach us that older children are just as valuable and worthwhile as young children. Families can be created in many ways—adoption through foster care is rewarding for children.
