Dana has adopted four disabled children and is now hoping for some help. She lifts her youngest daughter, Shelley, and her 100 pound wheelchair every day. With increasing back problems, Dana is hoping for help to get a wheelchair van.
Shelley loves life and it is Dana’s desire to help her continue to have enjoyable days. If she is not able to get a wheelchair van, daily outings will have to stop and Shelley will become bound to her bed. Dana hopes that getting the word out will lead to donations that can purchase an appropriate van for the family.
Already, the town’s mayor found out about Dana’s hardship and wrote her a check for $2,000. In addition, he has offered to help sponsor a fundraiser for the family.
