Beyond the Surface
She was an average kind of girl, I suppose, She was the only one who could make this decision. God, Himself, has placed His children in other’s love;

Not really thinking of the cons and pros;
But when she made her mistake she went to the Lord,
To listen for His answer and to do as he told.
It was difficult at first with the pressures from the past,
But when the Lord gave His answer, she would do as He asked.
This child is not for me, but is mine;
But I know, oh Lord, that first he is thine.
I know he will be watched by you,
And taken care of through and through.
Please let him know how much I care,
I know when he needs you, Lord, you will be there.
To her the Lord would give revelation.
The destiny of the child lay in her choice;
So she sought His Spirit and listened for His voice.
When the answer came; it was a hard one to bear,
To place her child into strangers’ care;
Then she realized; maybe strangers to her,
But the Lord knew them well, and she felt reassured.
This child is not for me, but is mine;
But I know, oh Lord, that first he is thine. I
know he will be watched by you.
And taken care of through and through.
Please let him know how much I care,
I know when he needs you, Lord, you will be there.
Yet we know His own for us is great from above.
To the feelings of her child she had great concern;
She wanted her child to feel the love coming from her.
She knew this child would be loved a great deal;
But the love from her, the Birth Mother, she also wanted it to feel.
This child is not for me, but is mine;
But I know, oh Lord, that first he is thine.
I know he will be watched by you,
And taken care of through and through.
Please let him know how much I care,
I know when he needs you, Lord, you will be there
