Birth Moms Share Their Best Advice for Someone Considering Adoption

An Original Video | Birth Mother Voices

What would experienced birth mothers say to those considering placing a child for adoption?  What kind of advice do they have? “Uninformed decisions create regret,” says one birth mother. And so her advice is to do your research, learn about all the options including current information about adoption. Talk with other birth parents, women who have chosen to parent and are currently single parents, women who have had abortions. Get first-hand experiences, then weigh your options. Make the decision according to what you feel is best for your child, then be patient as you search for your child’s parents. They are out there and you will be guided to them. Our birth mother panel has great advice to share with any who are at a point of decision making.
